St. Francis de Sales Central Catholic School (SFdSCCS)

The 2020-2021 school year has given us all in the SFdSCCS community time to reflect on what is most important to us.  Furthermore, the past year has reminded us that nothing is promised, and that we need to ensure that the future of SFdSCCS is secure, no matter what circumstances or challenges we may face.

 

The St. Francis School Foundation 

The St. Francis School Foundation was established in 2015 to help in securing the future of SFdSCCS. The principal deposit, designated to be used only for school emergencies, was deposited into an interest-earning account.  Funds from the interest earned on this account may be used for non-emergent projects at SFdSCCS.  Under the current circumstances this year, instead of focusing on a specific project at the school, we have decided to use the proceeds from the 2021 One Day of Giving to build up the St. Francis School Foundation account.

 

The past year has presented unprecedented challenges to our world, and our school community is no exception.  Everyone has felt the impact of a world pandemic that has changed our lifestyle in so many ways.  What has NOT changed is our spirit of togetherness and the desire to offer a quality Catholic education to the children we serve.

 

Therefore, this year’s One Day of Giving theme is “Stronger Together.”  No matter who we are – student, faculty, parent, alumni, or community supporter – we are all an integral piece of the future of SFdSCCS.  Every contribution of time, talent, and treasure is part of the tapestry at St. Francis.  We understand that many of our contributors may be experiencing financial hardships and this year’s One Day of Giving campaign may not be as fruitful as in past years.  As a result, our 2021 One Day of Giving goal is set at $10,000.  Though our goal is smaller, our Trojan Spirit is stronger than ever! 

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

 

Beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, February 4, you may make a contribution to the One Day of Giving fund to benefit our School Foundation.  You may either send a check or cash contribution to the school office OR donate online at www.stfrancismorgantown.com by going to the Advancement Tab and selecting the “One Day of Giving” option.  We will again have the grade-level Power Hours, so plan to make your contribution during your grade levels designated time.  Grade levels that reach their $1,000 goal will receive a Dunkin’ Donut treat on Friday, February 5th!  Please know that ALL donations, no matter how large or small, will benefit the St. Francis School Foundation and SFdSCCS  tremendously.
