Dear Friends,

On behalf of the faculty, staff, administration, and students, I welcome you to our website and to our school community.  Since our founding in 1915, St. Francis Central Catholic has been a visible presence in the city of Morgantown.  Now in our centennial year, our commitment to excellence remains as strong as ever and is seen in our academic curriculum, our campus ministry activities, our community service opportunities, our athletic programs, and in a wide range of co-curricular activities designed to develop our students into young men and women well-equipped to take their place as faith-filled, responsible citizens in the global society of the 21st century.

I believe your virtual visit will reveal the essence of our identity here at St. Francis, and I am confident that a visit to our vibrant campus will confirm the warmth and spirit of a very special place.  For us, the word ‘hospitality’ isn’t just a pleasant word.  It is a quality exemplified through the routine actions and interactions of our students, faculty, and parents.  It is something we live each day.  Our school community values our mission statement “here to serve, not to be served”.  Our small size provides security and familiarity as our school community is actively involved and responds accordingly to answer the bell when called upon.

At the core of the St. Francis existence is the sense of family.  The Trojan spirit is rooted in pride, honor, and enthusiasm and there is truly a sense of “one for all, all for one.”  As you come to know us, it will be easy to understand the strong support of our current families.  Along with that, our alumni and the presence of multi-generational families who call St. Francis home, keep St. Francis a premier school by being so vested in its longevity.  We offer you our Trojan spirit and hospitality as you explore the many academic and faith-filled opportunities at St. Francis Central Catholic School.

I look forward to meeting you in person when you visit St. Francis in the near future.

Sincerely,

Arthur Moore
Principal
St. Francis Central Catholic
