The Day After Peace: Video

The International Day of Peace is a is a global effort that seeks: “To encourage the observation of a worldwide cease-fire, 24-hour vigil for peace and nonviolence on the 21st of September in every house of worship and place of spiritual practice, by all religious and spiritually based groups and individuals, and by all men, women and children who seek peace in the world.” St. Francis de Sales Central Catholic School will celebrate the International Day of Peace on Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 with prayer, music and art!

St. Francis de Sales School Community is invited to join the spirit of peace with a “dress for peace” day. Participants are asked to wear bright colors, shirts with themes of peace, faith or global/world themes (ex. country flags, international soccer shirts).

We hope all will take this opportunity to make peace in your own relationships as well as impact the larger conflicts of our time.  The International Day of Peace is not only about creating peace between nations, it’s about non-violence in our homes, communities and schools. Therefore Peace Day is relevant to every human being on the planet.

WHO WILL YOU MAKE PEACE WITH ON THIS DAY?
