As a result of the Centennial Gala fundraiser being postponed, we have decided to continue to utilize the existing date by hosting a silent auction and social in our school gymnasium next Saturday, April 25, beginning at 7:00 p.m. There will be no cost to attend the event and, although there will be opportunities to bid on various auction items and assorted raffles, there will be no obligation to purchase anything at this event.
It is our sincere hope that this free event will command a high level of participation since there is no financial obligation required. Obviously, one of the goals of the evening, along with an opportunity for the school community to gather, would be for the school to profit from the sale of the many wonderful auction items that have already been secured for the gala.
The atmosphere for the evening will be relaxed and designed to provide a unique opportunity for our school community to gather in a social setting. The event will include music, dancing, beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks. Dress for the evening is casual and those attending will be permitted to bring any food or drinks that may be desired for their table. Seating will be first come, first served, and, again, the evening will kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
Although an RSVP is not required, we do respectfully ask that, if you know in advance that 
you will be attending, you kindly email Mrs. Rita Sokos at rsokos@stfrancismorgantown.com to assist us in ensuring adequate preparation for the number of attendees. If you have specific seating requests for your table, please specify that as well in your communication to Mrs. Sokos.
We are excited to see those of you whom we counted on seeing at the Centennial Celebration, and we are hopeful to attract many others for this Spring event at no cost or financial obligation.
A list of auction items will be sent to families by the end of this week so that you are aware of the unique classroom projects that are going to be auctioned, along with additional articles and features that will be on display for bidding. Please mark your calendars for next Saturday night, April 25, and come out to join the St. Francis school community for a fun-filled, enjoyable evening.
