This week, Ms. Sheets received a letter from WV Governor Tomblin notifying her of a well deserved and special honor.
Each February, the State takes time to recognize the accomplishments of those whom have made outstanding contributions in the area of civil rights. This year, as they celebrate the 12th Annual Civil Rights Day: “Advancing Civil Rights through Advocacy,” Ms. Sheets will attend the ceremony where she will be congratulated on being named one of the year’s 2015 Civil Rights Day Award honorees.
The celebration will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Beni Kedem Shrine Temple. A ceremony will be hosted with a luncheon to follow.
