This spring, we are thrilled to once again participate in Neighborhood Forest’s Annual Free Tree Program as part of Earth Week celebrations from April 20th to 24th!
Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has engaged over 1,500 institutions, reached over 500,000 families, and planted over 130,000 (mostly urban and residential) trees through the hands of children and parents across North America.
We are excited to be participating in this wonderful program that teaches youth about the importance of environmental stewardship through the magic and wonder of planting and watching trees grow.
Please fill out the online registration form by March 15th and receive a free tree (6-12 inches in size) during Earth Week. The tree species will be announced in early April. Neighborhood Forest aims to provide native trees across all the regions it serves.
You will also have the option to donate and/or purchase additional trees and tree-related educational products (via the registration form). Please note this is optional, and any purchases/donations will help fund more free trees for kids in the program.
Trees will be delivered to us, and we will arrange to get them into your children’s hands on or around Earth Day (April 22nd), either by pickup or by sending them home with your child(ren).
Other products you purchase will be fulfilled by Neighborhood Forest.
Instructions on planting and caring for the trees, along with species details, will be emailed a few days before delivery and will also be available in the “Resources” section of the Neighborhood Forest website. For further questions, please check out the Parent FAQs.
Thank you for your support and participation. For more information about this program, please visit www.neighborhoodforest.org or www.facebook.com/neighborhoodforest.
