Summer Reading Challenge Now Over

The St. Francis Summer Reading Challenge began on May 6, 2020 and ended on Friday, September 4, 2020.  It is now time to turn in the final reading logs and determine the number of minutes the students read; the students who have met or exceeded the challenge; and prepare the various certificates, medals and trophies.

As a reminder, any student reading 2,000 minutes or more will receive a dress-down day (date to be determined).  Students reading 10,000 minutes or more will receive a reading medal, and the top three overall students will receive a trophy.  Since we cannot have an assembly at this time, parents of students receiving a medal or a trophy will be notified by email.  All award presentations will be made in the various classrooms, so long as we are able to remain in the building.

All reading logs must be submitted by September 14, 2020.

Please scan your reading log(s)  and email to:

Also, please mark your calendars for our virtual book fair which will begin on September 28, 2020 and will end on October 11, 2020. Information on the book fair will be sent out in a separate email so please watch for that.

If at any time you have questions about the Summer Reading Challenge or a specific library question, please feel free to contact me.
