Congratulations to Ana Galvez and Camila Garcia, 4th Grade Students at St. Francis, for their winning entries in the recent “Forge Ahead Pitch” Competition at the WVU Encova Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  Ana won a cash prize of $500 for her “Hygeia Confi Maska”, and Camila won $100 for her “Foster Care Alternative for West Virginia” submission.

“I was thinking about the safety of my friends when we get back into school and I knew a comfortable mask could help, so I came up with the idea of a cool feeling, comfortable mask, and named it Hygeia Comfi Maska,” said Ana Galvez, fourth grade student at Saint Francis Central Catholic School. “I applied to the competition because I thought this could be an opportunity to show my idea and help bring all of us together again.”

So proud of your accomplishments, ladies!  Keep up the good work!
