In order to graduate from St. Francis Central Catholic, students must complete a minimum of 24 credits during the middle school years. One (1) credit is awarded for each academic course that lasts one full school year. One-half credit (1/2) is awarded for each academic course that lasts one semester. Credits are awarded for classes that students pass with a grade of D or better.

Each year, at least six credits must be completed in the five core academic content areas: Religion (1 credit), Language Arts (2 credits), Math (1 credit), Science (1 credit), and Social Studies (1 credit). In successfully completing the core academic curriculum, students will accumulate 18 of the minimum 24 credits for graduation.

In addition to the 18 credits accumulated in the five core academic content areas, students must accumulate a minimum of six additional credits in the following areas: art (1 credit), music (1 credit), physical education (1 credit), health (1/2 credit completed during 8th grade), Spanish (1 credit completed during 8th grade), and general electives (1 ½ credits).

In addition to the academic requirements, students must also complete the following: retreats in sixth, seventh grade, and eighth grade; and 40 hours of service each year of middle school. The service hours must be person-centered and be approved by the religion teacher.
