It’s that time of year again with Catholic Schools Week (CSW) starting this Sunday 1/26/20. As many of you know, each year our students celebrate CSW by participating in a school- wide service project (PK2 – 8th grade). This year our students will be making bag lunches for the Bartlett House on Tuesday, 1/28/20.

The bagged lunches consist of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a baggie of Chex Mix, an apple and a baggie of baby carrots. We are asking students of each grade level to bring in a specific item. These items may be brought in as early as Friday, 1/24/20 to the student’s homeroom.

Last year our students made a total of 824 bagged lunches, in addition to 41 extra sandwiches, that were delivered to the Bartlett House residence on West Run. That’s a total of 865 peanut butter & jelly sandwiches made by our SFCCS students in one afternoon! Not only is this a service to our Morgantown community, but our students have a great time participating in this project and living our school motto, “We are here to serve, not to be served”. It is absolutely a work of love.

Thank you in advance for helping us make this service project a success again this year, and please let awilson@sfccs.org know if you have any questions.
