PrintAs the seasons come into the final stretch for Cross Country and Volleyball, both are showing strong signs of preparing for a conference championship.

The 2016-17 school year has started off very well for our athletic program. Cross Country continues to dominate in Mason-Dixon Conference races, defending last years title for both boys and girls and showing true potential to repeat as conference champions this year. Volleyball is off to the best start in school history, keeping an undefeated streak alive for 22 straight sets and are in pursuit of the programs 1st conference title. Great job Trojans! St. Francis….Together!

Volleyball

Record:  Varsity: 11-0    JV: 5-2

The girls teams are both showing much success under second year coach Nick Lusk. After summer camps and out-of-season coaching, the girls have kept rolling and building their skills. The hard work has been paying off, as your Lady Trojans are undefeated at 11-0. Not only have they won each game so far, they have yet to lose a single set!

Next week, beginning Monday, Oct 10, the girls will face their untitledtoughest stretch of the season. South at home on Monday. Suncrest at home on Wednesday, Oct 12, and South again at their place on Thursday, Oct 13.  The teams could use your support. Come out and witness what your school can do on the court…it has been special so far! Games begin with JV first serve at 5pm each night, varsity to follow around 6pm.

Cross Country

The Cross Country team has continued its winning ways as the boys have consistently had the majority of the top 10 finishers each race. The girls have been just behind 1st resized_20160922_172156place, running with all newcomers except for 7th grader, Lea Hatcher.  With the Mason-Dixon Championship run tomorrow, we plan to excel once again and come out on top. Monongalia County Conference Championships will be next week, Tuesday, October 18.
