Geo1The 2016 National Geographic School Geography Bee was held on Wednesday, January 20.  Following a series of preliminary rounds held before Christmas, nineteen students represented Grades 4th through 8th.  After seven rounds, Ali Buterbaugh (5th Grade) and Jasper Brown (6th Grade) entered the Championship Round.  Ali answered two questions to Jasper’s one to emerge as the 2016 St. Francis Geography Bee Champion.  Ali has already taken the on-line test to attempt to qualify for the West Virginia State Geography Bee.

Congratulations to her and to all of this year’s participants!
