Many school leaders across the state have asked how our Diocese can rally together and help St. Vincent de Paul Parish (Wheeling) School’s Principal, Mrs. Rebecca Beabout.  Mrs. Beabout recently lost her 15 year old son in a very sad turn of events related to a serious heart surgery in Morgantown.  David was a graduate of St Vincent’s and was a freshman student enrolled this year at Bishop Donahue High School in McMechen, where he was a member of the basketball team.

May 13th would have been David’s 16th birthday, and to show our support, we at St. Francis are invited to join all Diocesan schools by holding a Green & Gold dress down day.  Students who choose to participate in the dress down day are asked to make a voluntary contribution.  All funds raised will go to the David Beabout Memorial Fund, which will help the family with their greatest unmet financial needs. Any additional funds raised will be deposited into an endowment fund for scholarships.

Thank you for your consideration & support,

Vincent de Paul Schmidt Ed.S., M.A.
Superintendent
Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston
