St. Francis held its Talent Show last week. The annual event is becoming a favorite among the students to showcase their hidden talents, and come together as a school and community for some fun and entertainment.
Eighteen acts (22 students) participated in the event this year. Students from 3rd through 7th grade stepped into the spotlight and performed in front of the school and parents. Performances ranged from creative dance routines to solo and duet vocals as well as a few piano solos. A celebrity panel of judges rated each performance based on talent, creativity, and showmanship.

Special thanks to our panel of judges: WVAQ morning radio hosts Kevin Connoley and Adam Etris, Andrea Houde from the WVU School of Music, and our very own Father Chris.
The 5th,6th, and 7th division saw the Gamponia sisters (Margo & Phoebe) claim first place with their choreographed dance routine. Andreas Schmid, in full Pirate costume, took second place foe his piano solo. Third place went to Jessica Suschak for a dance routine of her own.
For the 3rd and 4th grade division, 3rd grader Lianna Forrester danced her way to first place. Margaret Deely (4th grade) sang her way into second place while Paige Brock (4th grade) and Brooklyn Cutlip (3rd grade) tied for 3rd with their dance routines.
All 22 participants should be very proud of their performances. It is amazing to see and hear the many amazing talents our students possess.
